International Overdose Awareness Day is August 31. Each year this event aims to raise awareness about overdose and that overdose is preventable. International Overdose Awareness Day remembers those who have died or sustained a permanent injury related to drug use. Join our local International Overdose Awareness Day Planning Committee for a week a in-person event at North Bay’s Leger Square (City Hall) of those who have been affected by overdose.
Join us, August 31st, 4:00pm – 7:00pm:
-Welcome, and open/closing remarks
-Guest speakers
-Moment of silence
-Free snacks for all community members
-Stick planting, and chair signing
-Local resources and informational booths
-Naloxone training
-Prize packs to be won

The overdose epidemic is everyone's problem, but it's being left to a small group to step up.
