Shipping and Returns

Thank you for visiting the International Overdose Awareness Day shop. Buying, wearing and displaying merchandise is a fantastic way to spread the message that together we can end overdose.

As a small not-for-profit organization, we do our best to ensure all merchandise products are of a high quality and delivered to you in a timely manner. Please learn more about our shipping and returns policy on this page.

This Policy shall be governed and interpreted in accordance with the English language, regardless of any translations made for any purpose whatsoever.

Shipping

Shipping costs and timeframes will be estimated when you create an account with your delivery address. These details will also be available when you access your completed order in your account.

Printing, fulfillment and shipping for our merchandise is handled by an on-demand printing company with facilities worldwide, so shipping times vary and depend on your location. The following is a guide for fulfillment and shipping timeframes for most products:

  • USA: 6–11 business days
  • Europe: 9–15 business days
  • Australia: 5–21 business days
  • Japan: 7–15 business days

If you would like your products to arrive before August 31, we encourage you to place your order well in advance of this date, allowing extra time for any delays in delivery beyond the timeframes outlined on this page. Please be sure to check these timings when you place your order.

Order Tracking

You will receive a tracking link via email when we ship your order. If you have received your tracking link and are still waiting for your order or believe it has gone missing, consider these next steps:

  • Check the delivery address on your order for any mistakes.
  • Ask your local post office if they have your package.
  • Stop by your neighbors in case the courier left the package with them.

If the shipping address was correct, and the package wasn’t left at the post office or at your neighbor’s, get in touch with us at info@overdoseday.com with your order number. If you did find a mistake in your delivery address, we can send you a replacement order, but this will be at your own cost.

Customs or Tax Fees

An additional customs and tax fee can occur on international orders. This fee is not in our control and is assessed by your local customs office. Customs policies vary widely for every country so please check with your local customs office directly to see if they apply duties and taxes to your purchases.

Returns & Exchanges

Unfortunately we are not able to accept returns or exchanges on our merchandise. We encourage you to choose your items and the size of any apparel carefully by reviewing the sizing guides before placing your order. 

We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause and we are grateful for your support of our important day. For sizing issues, we recommending gifting your purchase to someone in your community who can wear it. This supports getting our important messages out to more people.

However, if something is wrong with the quality of the products in your order or you have received incorrect or mislabelled items, please let us know by contacting us at info@overdoseday.com.

Incorrect or Damaged Products

If you have received incorrect, misprinted, or damaged items, please email us at info@overdoseday.com within 7 days of receipt and let us know. In your email, please include photos of the incorrect, misprinted, or damaged product, your order number, and any other details you may have about your order. We will do our best to get back to you with a resolution as soon as possible. Claims deemed an error on our part are covered at our expense.

Timeframe for Lodging Claims

Any claims for incorrect, misprinted, or damaged products must be submitted within 7 days after the product has been received. For packages lost in transit, all claims must be submitted no later than 7 days after the estimated delivery date. Claims deemed an error on our part are covered at our expense.

Wrong Address

If you provide an address that is considered insufficient by the courier, the shipment will be returned to our print facility. You will be liable for reshipment costs once we have confirmed an updated address with you (if and as applicable).

Unclaimed Products

Shipments that go unclaimed are returned to our facility and you will be liable for the cost of a reshipment. Any returned orders due to a failure to claim the shipment won’t be available for reshipping and will be donated to charity at your cost (without us issuing a refund).
