100 Waves Day
August 29th, 11 AM – 3 PM @ the very VERY south end of Long Beach Island, NJ
Join a summer movement turning action into impact. 100 Waves for Recovery brings people together to support those affected by addiction and the overdose crisis – because everyone deserves compassion, resources, and a path to recovery. This is our 5th year!
We will also come together in remembrance, hope, and commUNITY for International Overdose Awareness Day. Together, we will honor the lives of those we have lost to overdose and addiction. Each attendee will receive a flower as a symbol of remembrance, and we will gather along the shoreline for a special memorial ceremony. Those who wish to participate are invited to join a Hawaiian paddle out, a meaningful tradition that offers a peaceful way to honor and remember our loved ones.
The event will also feature live music, community organizations, and informational booths offering education, support, and local services. Whether you are remembering someone you love, supporting a friend or family member, or standing in solidarity with our community, all are welcome.
Together, we remember. Together, we crush stigma. Together, we renew our commitment to preventing overdose and supporting the people we love.
Please bring your sunscreen, chair and drinks/snacks as we are not permitted to sell food or beverages.
