The Cambridge, Ontario International Overdose Awareness Day public gathering took place on Monday, August 31, 2026, from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. at Soper Park (120 Shade St, Cambridge, ON).
Event DetailsHost: Hosted by Sanguen Health Centre alongside regional community partners and the Waterloo Region Integrated Drug Strategy.
Activities: Included memorial markers/crosses to honor lives lost to drug toxicity, guest speakers with lived experience, live music, community booths, and free pizza.
Support & Resources: Provided on-site harm reduction supplies, support services, and overdose prevention information including naloxone training.
