Marking the 25th International Overdose Awareness Day on Aug. 31, PEERS Alliance says there remains work to be done for P.E.I.’s vulnerable populations.

The group hosted an event in Charlottetown aimed at reducing stigma and remembering those lost to overdose, as well as providing knowledge and empowering action for change.

Program director Angele DesRoches said she spent the day reflecting and described this year’s theme — 25 Years On. Still Needed — as “quite poignant.”
