Mercy Street Bridgewater will hold a memorial service in observance of International Overdose Awareness Day on Wednesday, Aug. 26, at 7 p.m. Beginning at 7 p.m. with a dessert reception and opportunity to decorate a luminaria in memory of loved ones, the service will follow at 7:30 p.m. with a speaker sharing her own story of loss and remembrance, an opportunity to light candles of hope for loved ones still on the journey with substance use disorder, and the tolling of the church bell and naming those we have lost. People of every faith and no faith are welcome.
