Black CAP will be hosting a flag-raising ceremony for International Overdose Awareness Day (IOAD) at Toronto’s City Hall – Nathan Phillips Square – on 31st August 2023 starting at 11:30 pm. It is anticipated that the Mayor of Toronto, MPP Jill Andrews and MPP Kristyn Wong-Tam, among others, will be in attendance. In addition, our request to light the CN Tower on the night of August 31 in the Overdose Awareness Day colours (purple and white) has been granted.

Overdose affects everyone. From grieving families to spontaneous first responders, the impacts of overdose are far-reaching and fall indiscriminately.

Sign up to the International Overdose Awareness Day newsletter and become part of the global movement to end overdose.
