“International Overdose Awareness Day” is observed annually on August 31st. The day was established in 2001 to raise awareness of overdose and reduce the stigma surrounding drug-related deaths.
To commemorate the occasion, “Dear Addict Book” will sponsor a purple flag display at “The Book Bungalow located at 94 West Tabernacle Street, St George, Utah 84770. ” The purple flags represent the global addiction recovery movement to increase awareness while honoring those who have lost their lives to overdose.

The flag display will be set up from August 28th at 1:00 p.m. through September 2nd at 10:00 a.m. The public is encouraged to visit the bookstore and show their support and respect during this meaningful observance.
