This free annual evening of learning and remembrance is for anyone affected by overdose or substance use and for those who wish to learn more about the issue. We host a resource fair with over a dozen local agencies participating. Several of these agencies provide free trainings in using naloxone (Narcan), the overdose reversal drug and provide it free to participants. We also offer activities including rock painting, a memorial flag display, and an opportunity to create a memorial to loved ones. We close the evening with a ceremony presented by Hospice of SLO County with the Threshold Singers, poetry, and a candle-lighting ceremony to remember and honor loved ones lost to and those affected by overdose. All are welcome!

Overdose affects everyone. From grieving families to spontaneous first responders, the impacts of overdose are far-reaching and fall indiscriminately.

Sign up to the International Overdose Awareness Day newsletter and become part of the global movement to end overdose.
