The walk will be held Aug. 31, with opening remarks from Chief Jim Leonard of Rainy River First Nations beginning at 10 a.m. at the Sorting Gap Marina, with the walk itself starting at 10:30 a.m.

Participants will walk from the marina, west down Front Street until Victoria Avenue, then up to Scott Street and finally to the UNFC, where a barbecue and social gathering will be held.

A medical van will follow the walkers in case of emergency.

Volunteers are encouraged to come and assist with the set up and tear down of the event. If interested in helping, contact Bradley by texting (807) 276-9075.
