πŸ’œ 4th Annual Overdose Memorial Service & Candlelight Vigil πŸ’œ
πŸ“… Sunday, August 31, 2025
πŸ“ The Common, 100 First Street, Pittsfield, MA β†’ Procession to Park Square
On International Overdose Awareness Day, our community will gather to remember those we have lost, comfort the bereaved, and stand together in hope.
The evening will begin with a memorial service at The Common to honor and support families and friends grieving loved ones. Grief resources will be available throughout the event. Following the service, we will walk in procession to Park Square for the Reading of the Names and a moving candlelight vigil to shine light on lives that mattered and stories that continue to inspire us.
✨ Families and friends are invited to send names and photos of loved ones to be included in the remembrance: livinginrecoverypittsfield@gmail.com
Names and Photos need to be in by Wednesday August 26th for inclusion
This event is free and open to all β€” families, friends, allies, and community members. Together, we break the silence, reduce stigma, and honor the lives of those gone too soon.
β€œEach name we read is a reminder that every life mattered, every story deserves to be remembered, and no family should carry this grief alone.” – Julie MacDonald, Program Director, Living in Recovery
πŸ’œ Please join us as we remember, grieve, and stand united in love and compassion.
