Montrose

Each year on August 31, communities around the world observe International Overdose Awareness Day to remember those lost to overdose and to raise awareness to prevent future deaths.
This year, we are hosting a community event at Centennial Park in downtown Montrose. The event will include a recovery walk, speakers sharing lived experiences, and a memory tree to honor those we have lost. We will also place purple chairs throughout the community as a visual reminder of the lives impacted by overdose—representing those who are no longer at the family table.
