International Overdose Awareness Day (IOAD)

To raise community awareness about overdose, its warning signs, and the importance of rapid and appropriate response to save lives.
3. Target Audience
University students, young people, healthcare workers, families, and the general community.
4. Main Topics
Understanding overdose and its causes.
Recognizing common signs and symptoms.
Basic first aid and appropriate emergency response.
Awareness about Naloxone in opioid overdose.
Reducing stigma and encouraging people to seek treatment and support.
5. Suggested Activities
Awareness lecture on overdose prevention.
First Aid & CPR workshop.
Educational booth on overdose signs and Naloxone.
Awareness quiz for participants.
Social media awareness campaign.
Memorial corner to remember people who lost their lives to overdose.
