“Join us on August 31 for our 2024 Overdose Awareness Day Remembrance Vigil at the Downtown Martinsville performance venue from 7:00 PM to 9:00 PM. This event is dedicated to family members, friends, loved ones, and community members we’ve lost to overdose and those affected by these losses. We will have a photo dedication and candlelight vigil to commemorate those we’ve lost to overdose, as well as testimonials from loved ones and from individuals in recovery.
It is more important than ever to unite as a community, to advocate for those struggling, and to reduce the stigma surrounding addiction. We invite you to stand with us in solidarity, support, and remembrance. Together, we can work towards prevention, improved access to treatment, and a society that approaches addiction with compassion and understanding.”
