In commemoration of the International Overdose Awareness Day, the Uganda Alliance of Patients’ Organisations (UAPO) will host an online podcast through the UAPO Patient Safety Series to raise awareness about drug overdose and its impact in Uganda. The discussion will explore the prevalence of overdose, key risk factors, warning signs, prevention strategies and the importance of timely intervention and access to support services.
The event aims to foster informed public dialogue, reduce stigma surrounding substance use disorders, and promote evidence-based approaches to overdose prevention.
