A Light to Remember will be held in Carbon & Emery Counties, and across the state, this year on International Overdose Awareness Day, August 31, 2023. These events seek to increase awareness about substance-related overdose, support people in recovery, provide education and support, and remember loved ones that we have lost.

The Carbon & Emery County event will be held at Huntington State Park. Event will include a meal from local Gettin’ Our Smoke On food truck, luminaries to commemorate loved ones, a remembrance wall, Naloxone education and kits, booths with local information and resources, and much more.

***Swag bags and meals will be provided to the first 100 attendees.

Rides will be available for free from Price and Castle Dale. Rides from Price will be available, leaving at 6:30pm for a limited number of people (first come, first served).

The event begins at 7 PM and will end at 9:00 PM for clean up. Schedule of Events:

–Moment of Silence at 8:00 pm
–Luminary Lighting Ceremony at 8:30 pm
