The Grand Forks Community Action Initiative (CAT) in partnership with the Helping Our People Evolve group (HOPE), and ANKORS will be hosting an IOAD event on August 31st, 2026 at Gyro Park in Grand Forks BC at 11am. This will be an education and memorial event for all to attend to honor all of our lost loved ones, and all of those struggling with substance use.
Learn how to administer Naloxone,and how to reduce overdose death and stigma. We will be joined by community partners and service providers and will have lots of take home materials to educate yourself on reducing the risks of overdose and how to reverse an overdose. We will have first responder and peer speakers. This is a free event with cold non alcohol beverages, sandwiches and cupcakes
