Due to Covid19 restrictions we will be unable to host our public event as we have in the past, however, we must continue to acknowledge and recognize IOAD and we have the following activities planned:
*In the month leading up to August 31st – we will have a digital billboard campaign to raise awareness of IOAD at 82 Avenue & 99 Street and 109 Street & Jasper Avenue (Edmonton, AB)
*Moms Stop The Harm – “Tie A Purple Ribbon” Campaign promotion via social media – https://www.facebook.com/groups/PurpleRibbonForOverdoseAwareness/
*August 31, 2020 at 7:30pm: An informal gathering for IOAD at Victoria Park Site 6 (12030 River Valley Rd NW) with candlelight vigil at 8.45pm as the High Level Bridge will be lit up in purple in honour of IOAD. (Candles will not be provided this year). Physically distancing measures are in place in the park. Please bring a mask.
