Brantford

Community members and service providers gather together for this annual acknowledgement of the affects of overdose on all members of the Brantford and Brant community. We gather together to share information, spread awareness, and provide a safe space to grieve the effects of overdose and the losses of those we have cared for.

This year, in Brantford, events will be hosted by the Brantford Public Library where community service providers and community members will gather at 3:00 pm for opening remarks, have the option to participate in a community walk through the downtown core at 4:00 pm together (approximately a half hour walk on flat, urban terrain) and throughout that walk folks will be provided with opportunities to sit or to stand and listen to those with lived experience speak, and finally the event will gather again at the library to join together in shared memories of those lost, visit the tables of service providers, share pizza, and community, together.
