On International Overdose Awareness Day, August 31st, 2021 we invite you to join us for a Ceremony of Hope and Remembrance at City Hall in memory of lives lost due to the toxic drug crisis.
Our ceremony will begin at 10:00 am and will include raising of the IOAD flag by community members in memory lost due to the toxic drug crisis, a moment of silence followed by words of remembrance and hope.
We will have community partners on site sharing information about Harm reduction and handing out Naloxone kits.
Trained grief support volunteers will be on hand to offer support to those who need it.
.
As purple is the colour of IOAD people are invited to wear purple.
We invite members of our community who have lost loved ones due to drug related harms who would like to participate in our empty chair project or have their loved one’s photo and name added to our photo banner to email christine@ryanshopebarrie.ca

This event is hosted by Ryan’s Hope and Moms Stop The Harm Simcoe County
