The All-Ukrainian Association of People with Drug Dependence (VOLNA) is organising a nationwide online flashmob in Ukraine as part of International Overdose Awareness Day 2026.
Throughout the week, people with lived and living experience of drug use, activists, regional representatives and partner organisations from across Ukraine will share personal stories about overdose, experiences of saving lives, and the use of naloxone on social media.
The campaign will also draw attention to mental health, stigma and the criminalisation of people who use drugs, highlighting the importance of support and compassion instead of judgement.
Our key messages are:
“Together, we can stop overdose. Support saves lives.”
“Don’t face it alone. Overdose can be prevented.”
“Life matters more than stigma.”
We invite people and organisations across Ukraine to join the flashmob, share their stories and help spread the message that overdose is preventable.
