I write this message to share that my brother lost his son at age 34 to huffing. This is a form of a drug addiction that we never hear about. A life cut way too short by a cheap, very accessible can of duster spray. No drug testing is done for this addiction that I am aware of, but from what I understand it begins to destroy the brain from the first time it is ever used. I wish there was some way to regulate the sales of duster spray or the chemical in it that creates the addiction. Left behind is his only child, who just turned 10, 2 days prior to his death, as well as his only brother, and his mom, dad and many family members who loved him dearly. Derric is really missed.

Overdose affects everyone. From grieving families to spontaneous first responders, the impacts of overdose are far-reaching and fall indiscriminately.
