BECAUSE NO ONE SHOULD BE DEFINED BY THEIR DARKEST MOMENTS!
222 LIVES A DAY are LOST in our country to DRUG OVERDOSE.
Tuesday, August 31st is INTERNATIONAL OVERDOSE AWARENESS DAY.
As a way of honoring all the lives lost to the horrible drug epidemic, The SHARE Project is hosting a drop-by, drive-by visual memorial in front of the historic Haywood County Courthouse for International Overdose Awareness Day (IOAD).
At 6:00pm on August 31st, we will set up a powerful display of 222 mason jars filled with purple lights on the steps and lawn of the courthouse. The display will be left up until 6:00am the next morning.
We are extending an open invitation to members of the community to gather between 8:30pm – 9:00pm. At 9:00pm, we will offer a moment of silence in remembrance of the many lives lost to the drug crisis and pay our respects to the friends and family members who mourn the loss of their loved one(s) every day.
