Please invite your family and friends to the following events taking place in Victoria BC, Canada in honour of International Overdose Awareness Day. Moms Stop the Harm – Victoria will be hosting a series of public awareness & education opportunities for the following dates. Public Naloxone training will be offered along with resources and information.

Purple Ribbon Campaign – Join Moms Stop the Harm between August 1-31 for our annual purple ribbon campaign. Light up the town in purple lights, wear purple or decorate a tree in purple ribbon. Be creative and post your pictures on our facebook page link listed below.

“Let’s Get Loud” Rally for change will be taking place: Wed. August 31st 11:00 am Centennial Square (1 Centennial Square, Victoria, BC V8W 1P5). Bring signage, pots and pans! Join us as we march to the Ministry of Mental Health & Addictions to shout that more must be done to end the deaths!! This event will focus on advocacy and need for our governments to scale up their response to this health crisis.

Overdose Awareness Day Vigil – Join us as we remember all those we have loved and lost at the BC Legislature – Wed. August 31st 7:30 pm BC Legislature (501 Belleville St, Victoria, BC V8V 2L8). Jill Cooper, prominent local musician, will join us as we remember our loved in words and music of remembrance.

The overdose epidemic is everyone's problem, but it's being left to a small group to step up.
