Join us as we raise awareness and fight the stigma surrounding overdose and substance use disorder at a free, social-distanced showing of “Ben is Back,” starring Julia Roberts and Lucas Hedges. Following the film there will be a short discussion from members of the Estes Park Community who have been personally affected by overdose and substance use disorder as they share their stories and grant us a personal look into a national epidemic. Together we will honor lost loved ones and to educate ourselves on addiction and what we can do to support those who struggle with it.

“I will always try to be a light to someone else’s life, no matter the circumstances. Mom lets you and I talk to the high schoolers about addiction, let’s write a book and take photos. You and I, mom, we can do this together and save lives.”

This year the Tri-County Overdose Prevention Partnership (TCOPP) is hosting a virtual Night of Remembrance and Hope. We are inviting people to pay tribute to a loved one that they have lost due to an overdose, someone who may be still struggling or celebrate someone who is in recovery. They can sing or play a song, read poem, show a tribute video and we will provide the platform. This 90 minute event will take place via Zoom on August 31, 2020 from 6:30-8pm MST. Along with the tributes, we will have a parent tell her story of loss and a Police Chief will talk about the the epidemic from a first responders viewpoint and he will also give a training on Narcan. We hope to have an opportunity to provide people who attend the event 2 doses of free Narcan (this still in the works).
