The “One Overdose is One Too Many” event will begin by the organization partnering with the Truro Library with a display inside glass enclosed cabinets in the central location of the Library. The display will be going up on August 22, 2022 until September 12, 2022. Harm Reduction and Naloxone Training presentations have been offered to all Library Staff by offering 3 presentations throughout August and September.
Members of the Staff and Board Teams will be participating in an Overdose Awareness event at the Truro Farmer’s Market on Saturday August 27th and the Amherst Farmer’s Market on Friday August 26th. These two venues are quite busy and the general public get very engaged with the team, sharing their stories, taking the Naloxone Training, asking questions and picking up awareness and educational material. Overdose Awareness will also be posted on all social media sites, Facebook, Instagram, Twitter as well highlighted on the NHCS website.

The overdose epidemic is everyone's problem, but it's being left to a small group to step up.
