International Overdose Awareness Day: Creative Expressions of Social Justice (Series of Events)

We will be walking along the Port Coquitlam Trail starting at Gates Park, walking along the trail through Lion’s Park, and ending at Aggie Park for a short vigil of the lives lost.

* Wear purple – as purple is the color for overdose awareness.
* We will have signs to put loved ones’ name, photos, dates, a special message
* We will have signs to share why we are marching

August 26th: Blue Mountain Park (975 King Albert Ave, Coquitlam, BC V3J)
Details: A mix of service providers coming together to provide resources, interactive education, training, and support. Mixed in with community artists, of different mediums, showcasing their work on the topics of substance use and mental health.

August 27th: Pioneer Memorial Park (275 Knowle St, Port Moody, V3H 3J3)
Details: A mix of service providers coming together to provide resources, interactive education, training, and support. Mixed in with community artists, of different mediums, showcasing their work on the topics of substance use and mental health.

Overdose affects everyone. From grieving families to spontaneous first responders, the impacts of overdose are far-reaching and fall indiscriminately.
