The event will be held at Mill Creek Park. This location has a paved walking trail, accessible to those who are able to walk as well as those using a wheelchair or strollers. Purple “#End Overdose” shirts will be available as well as Overdose Awareness Day lapel pins. When all participants have completed the walk, there will be a Narcan training held at the pavilion. The health/resource fair will serve to raise awareness and share information about substance use and options for those in recovery. Next to the pavilion is a playground for the children to enjoy. On the other side of the pavilion is a large grassy area where inflatables will be. Other entertainment, such as a DJ or live performance is being considered. At the closing of the event, a gratitude meeting will be held as we kick-off Recovery Month.
