Sherman Medical center hosts event in support of National Overdose Awareness day.
A pharmacist with the hospital provided portable Narcan nasal kits, teaching those in attendance how to administer the emergency opioid overdose treatment.

Also pointing out the initial signs of an overdose and what steps should be taken after the treatment is used.

“It’s an over the counter product that’s available, you can get it at a pharmacy, but here at the Sherman medical center we have them available as well. We have all these units and we just want to share them with the public and let them know,” said Pharmacy director Steve Rodriguez.
