The candlelit vigil walk at the DeFuniak Springs Lakeyard Amphitheatre on August 30th, from 6:30 PM to 8:30 PM, was held to raise awareness for Overdose Awareness Month. The event brought the community together to honor those lost to overdose, support survivors, and spread a message of hope for the future. Participants, including families and friends, walked around the Lakeyard with candles, symbolizing a collective stand against overdose and a commitment to the message “Not one more.” The gathering aimed to shine a light on this pressing issue and foster a sense of unity and healing within the community.
