This is the first of two special webinars with international speakers hosted by Scottish Drugs Forum for International Overdose Awareness Day.

Around the world, people who use drugs have, for many years, created unions, groups and networks to advocate for drug policies and practices that support harm reduction, health promotion and human rights.

In the first webinar leading up to IOAD we will hear about the history of the movement, the challenges and the progress made from advocates and activists in the Netherlands, Norway and Ukraine. There will be the opportunity for questions and a panel discussion after their presentations.

Speakers include:

– Theo Van Dam from the Netherlands, is the founder of Landelijk Steunpunt Druggebruikers (LSD) Foundation, The Dutch National Interest Group of Drug Users
– Olga Belyaeva from Ukraine is Programme Coordinator for the Eurasian Network of People Who Use Drugs (ENPUD)
– Arild Knutsen from Norway leads the Association for Humane Drug Policy

The session will be chaired by Jason Wallace, Scottish Drugs Forum.

Pre-registration is required and numbers are limited so please register early.

The session will be recorded and will be published on the SDF YouTube Channel
