August 31 is International Overdose Awareness Day, a global event that aims to raise awareness that overdose death is preventable and to reduce the stigma associated with drug-related death.
Join us on August 31 on Facebook Live for a virtual naloxone training and discussion on the current state of the Opioid epidemic locally. naloxone, commonly known as Narcan, is a life-saving overdose reversal medication.
The training and discussion will be hosted by HOPES Behavioral Health Provider/MAT Program Coordinator, Danica Pierce, LCSW, CADC-Intern, and Change Point Nurse, Brendan Dalton.
