For International Overdose Awareness Day, we will gather at Ravenna City Park to honor our loved ones lost to the Addiction Epidemic. The event will feature guest speakers, including Judge Becky Doherty, HOPE Drug Court and Paris Work Release Program founder, State Representative Gail Pavliga, Chair of the House Behavioral Health Committee, Christina (Cat) Guy, OUR Place Volunteer Team Member and Recovery Community Member, who has beaten tremendous odds, including relapse and multiple overdoses to become an inspiration to others!
Naloxone & hygiene kits, onsite peer support, and other resources will be available. We are inviting community members to send in photos of loved ones who have passed, so we can include them in the remembrance display, but attendees are welcome to bring photos as well. Open to the community. Please come light a candle in honor of your loved ones.
