International Overdose Awareness Day is observed on August 31st every year. It is a global event aimed at raising awareness about drug overdose, reducing the stigma associated with substance use disorders, and remembering those who have lost their lives to overdose. The day also serves as an opportunity to acknowledge the grief of families and friends who have lost loved ones due to drug-related incidents.

110,000 fatal but preventable overdoses occurred in the last 12 months. People who use drugs are not disposable. Join us as we remember those we’ve lost.

We will provide grilled food and drinks. There will be overdose reversal kits with naloxone, harm reduction resources, and HIV testing. There will be speakers sharing about drug policy reform and personal stories from people with lived experience.
