Parksville

We will have the IOAD event in Parksville Community Park. The first part will be people speaking about their own journeys into and out of addiction; second will be Project Connect where a number of local organizations will have tables displaying their wares and networking with the community, and the last part will be a candlelight vigil from the Picnic Shelter to the new Memorial Bench in the Park. We except about 100 people including peers. We will have music, food, an open mike for attendees to tell their own story, and a display of Purple chairs and pictures of loved ones who have passed away. We also hope to have a firetruck as the firemen here are often first responders and the big red trucks encourage attendance.
