The purpose of this event is to recognize International Overdose Awareness Day by raising awareness about the risks and impacts of drug overdose while promoting prevention, treatment, and recovery support resources available within our community. The event will provide students and employees with education and resources to help recognize and prevent overdoses, including information on how to respond in an emergency. Attendees will have access to free Narcan, medication lock boxes, medication disposal kits, Okmulgee County Resource Guides, and 988 Suicide & Crisis Lifeline materials to support safety, prevention, and connection to local resources.
