HEPPAC International Overdose Awareness Day 2026

Join HEPPAC on August 31 from 12:00 PM–3:00 PM at Edoff Memorial Bandstand at Lake Merritt in Oakland for International Overdose Awareness Day.

This community-centered event honors those we have lost to overdose, supports those impacted by substance use, and brings people together around prevention, education, harm reduction, and connection. Attendees can participate in interactive naloxone trainings, receive free Narcan, connect with resources and referrals for treatment and prevention, and enjoy music, prizes, and community.

The event will also include a walk/procession around Lake Merritt in remembrance of those we have lost to overdose, followed by a vigil to honor their lives and keep their memories present.
