Elected officials, local community providers and advocates will come together with the families and friends left behind to remember those who lost their lives to overdose. The event will take place at Walnut Hill Park in New Britain and will include a press conference featuring individuals with lived experience and other stakeholders at 1pm. This is an opportunity for our community to stand together to honor individuals who have lost their life to an overdose and to acknowledge the grief and loss felt by families and friends. At the same time, we will come together to offer hope to those still suffering and spread the message that overdose is preventable and recovery is possible.

Overdose affects everyone. From grieving families to spontaneous first responders, the impacts of overdose are far-reaching and fall indiscriminately.

Sign up to the International Overdose Awareness Day newsletter and become part of the global movement to end overdose.
