Catholic Charities of Southeast Michigan and Recovery Advocacy Warriors (RAW) are recognizing Overdose Awareness Day with our
Second Annual “Light Up The Darkness Memorial Glow Walk”

On August 31st we are asking the Monroe community to join us at St. Mary’s Parking lot at 8 PM where we will begin the walk.

This year we would like to stick to all neon colors and glow print with a black background for the poster boards.

In addition we plan on creating and painting memorial/ stigma breaking rocks, to place all around the downtown Monroe community to be found during the month of September which is National Recovery Month❤

We have 3 dates selected for community members to help create poster boards and paint rocks at the Main Office of Catholic Charities located at 25 S. Monroe St. Suite 205.

The dates are the following:

August 17th at 12pm
August 24th at 12pm
August 31st at 12pm

Families are welcomed.

Come help us prepare for an amazing Glow Up at our August 31st Light Up The Darkness Memorial Glow Walk .

You may also create a Memorial Stigma Breaking Rock and/or poster board at home and drop it off at the office or bring it the day of the walk.

We hope you are able to participate as we bring awareness to overdose, break the stigma surrounding addiction and begin our celebration of recovery.
