In the lead up to International Overdose Awareness Day on August 31, we will be hosting a webinar to release the findings from Australia’s Annual Overdose Report. Through the release of this report each year, we aim to spread awareness about the overdose crisis in Australia to advance sensible policy change and call for greater public education to prevent overdoses from occurring. Join us.
This year, we are honoured to be joined by Medical Director of the Uniting Medically Supervised Injecting Centre (MSIC) in Sydney NSW, Dr Marianne Jauncey, for a special opening address, followed by a presentation on the report’s data and key findings, and a Q&A discussion to delve deeper into the report’s implications.
This event coincides with International Overdose Awareness Day 2024 – the world’s largest campaign to end overdose, which is convened by Penington Institute.
