Get ready to make a splash at the Monroe County Prevention & Wellness Coalition’s 4th Annual Smash the Stigma Community Water Balloon Fight in honor of International Overdose Awareness Day! This event is more than just fun—it’s a powerful opportunity to remember, honor, and support those impacted by overdose. Proclamations by our Mayor and speakers will be there to share their stories.
We’ll feature a temporary tribute wall where you can submit a photo of someone you love—whether in remembrance or in celebration of their recovery journey. Explore our on-site resource center with the TN National Guard’s CDTF “Stashed Away Trailer,” along with mental health, substance misuse prevention, treatment, and recovery resources. Overdose prevention training will be available, too—thanks to our amazing community partners.
