25 Years on. Still Needed. – IOAD is a time for UMass Memorial Health HealthAlliance-Clinton Hospital to elevate the voices of those who mourn, provide space for reflection, and reaffirm our duty to serve all patients with dignity—especially those who use drugs or face substance use disorders.
This annual observance brings us together in somber reflection, united in empathy and purpose, to:
– Remember lives lost to overdose
– Acknowledge the grief of families, friends, loved ones and patients left behind
– Confront and reduce the stigma surrounding substance use
– Strengthening our commitment to prevention, treatment, and harm reduction
