Like last years event the Lambeth Service User Council (LSUC) will be partnering with the South London and Maudsley NHS Trust (SLaM) and Kings College London (KCL) to light up the Maudsleys main building purple in remembrance of those who died over the last 12 months to accidental overdose. Alongside this Reuben Cole (nurse prescriber) at the Bethlem hospital (NHS trust) will be holding webinars from the 31st of August to the 1st of September with presentations on Take Home Naloxone and some research trials around Naloxone including Naloxone drone delivery and OD devices that detect oxygen levels, movement, heart rate etc to indicate actual OD. As with all previous IOAD events we will be placing the LSUC condolence book in reception of Lorraine Hewitt House for anyone who wishes to write the names or messages for family and friends lost to preventable accidental overdose, the book is nearly full sadly. We will also be pushing take home Naloxone Prenoxad, Nyxoid and ampoules harder that week than we would normally push in an attempt to get as much naloxone out into the borough of Lambeth

The overdose epidemic is everyone's problem, but it's being left to a small group to step up.

Do your part and support these unrecognised responders by pushing for change today.
