After our #KnowYourRoute walk, which takes us around all the support services in the town, we will hold a ‘Remembrance and Hope’ rose ceremony in the park, with guest speakers (including the Scottish Drugs Policy Minister – Elena Whitham, a lived experience family member and Scottish Families Affected by Drugs representative).

The event will be family focused to challenge stigma people who have lost a loved one face, and include free food and activities, wellbeing activities for the community/ young people attending to offer hope and provide a non judgemental space to remember their loved one.

We will also include a naloxone training stall, as well as our NHS prevention support services team to provide awareness and education.

Overdose affects everyone. From grieving families to spontaneous first responders, the impacts of overdose are far-reaching and fall indiscriminately.

Sign up to the International Overdose Awareness Day newsletter and become part of the global movement to end overdose.
