The purpose of the Coalition is to enhance the opportunities for the recovery community to become fully integrated into the fabric of Kerrville.
This event is designed to bring together the strong recovery community in order to raise awareness of drug overdose dangers and to share in the remembrance of loved ones who lost their battle with substance use disorder. We want to offer and event that also spreads hope to those in our community, provides information to prevent drug use or abuse, and establishes opportunities so that no one feels alone in their struggles and/or grief. It is a goal of our community to reduce the stigma and offer many pathways to recovery for those seeking help.

As well, the Coalition shall work towards considering and identifying strategies and techniques for reducing barriers for the recovery community to be fully integrated into the local community as well as to identify and advocate goals and ideas for enhancing positive relationships by and amongst the recovery community. This 2nd Annual Night of Remembrance and Overdose Awareness Event is one such opportunity to reduce barriers to recovery and identify ways to get assistance as well as a community of support.

The overdose epidemic is everyone's problem, but it's being left to a small group to step up.

Do your part and support these unrecognised responders by pushing for change today.
