An International Overdose Awareness Day drug checking clinic is being held on Friday 30th August, 10am-2pm, at the ADIO needle exchange on 16 Vialou St, Hamilton.

All week, a tree of remembrance will be in the foyer of the needle exchange as an opportunity to share your story or remember someone lost from an overdose.

Make the most of this opportunity and come along for some quality harm reduction advice. There will be a free sausage sizzle, Drug-Checking, a Hep C clinic, free naloxone packs (until stock run out), and info for health and addiction services in the region.

Shout out to ADIO Needle Exchange Trust, CARE NZ, Te Manawa Taki Hep C, Know Your Stuff NZ, Pennington Institute, Salvation Army, and to the Waikato community for banding together to raise awareness of this important issue.

The bridges will be lit purple in remembrance.
