Join Greene County Thrives for International Overdose Awareness Day 2026, a free community event dedicated to remembering lives lost to overdose, supporting those affected, and promoting prevention, recovery, and hope.

International Overdose Awareness Day is the world’s largest annual campaign to end overdose, reduce stigma, and acknowledge the grief of families and communities impacted by substance use. Together, we honor those we have lost while working toward a future where overdose is preventable and support is available to everyone who needs it.

This year’s event will feature community resource organizations, overdose prevention education, recovery support information, remembrance activities, and opportunities to connect with local services and community partners.

Whether you have been personally affected by overdose, work in prevention or recovery, support a loved one, or simply want to learn more, you are welcome to attend.
