The City of Framingham invites the community to attend a free Narcan (naloxone) training immediately at the Overdose Awareness Day Vigil on Thursday, August 20, at 6 p.m. on the Memorial Building Steps, 150 Concord Street, Framingham.
The Narcan training is hosted by Mayor Charles Sisitsky, the Framingham Legislative Delegation, and the Framingham Public Health Department.
Special thanks to State Representative Kate Donaghue, who served as the lead organizer for the Framingham Legislative Delegation in bringing this important community training together.
The Overdose Awareness Day Vigil is organized by Anchored in Recovery.
Narcan is a lifesaving medication that can reverse an opioid overdose. Learning how to recognize the signs of an overdose and administer Narcan takes only a few minutes but can make the difference between life and death.
Everyone is welcome to attend. Together, we can honor those we have lost, support individuals and families affected by substance use disorder, reduce stigma, and help save lives.
