Join us for a special community gathering in recognition of International Overdose Awareness Day as we come together to remember the lives lost to overdose and stand alongside the families, friends, and loved ones who carry their memories forward.

The evening will include brief remarks from community speakers and an opportunity for those in attendance to share the name, memory, or story of someone they have lost.

We will conclude with a Purple Ribbon Memorial Ceremony, inviting participants to place a purple ribbon on the memorial tree beside the gazebo. Planted in memory of lives lost to overdose, the tree serves as a permanent place of remembrance where families, friends, and community members can visit, reflect, and honor their loved ones throughout the year.

This year marks 25 years of International Overdose Awareness Day. The 2026 theme, “25 Years On. Still Needed.”, reminds us why we continue to gather: to remember those we have lost, support those left behind, and work toward a future where fewer families experience the loss of someone they love to overdose.

Until then, we remember. We act. And we continue—together.
