The Fairfield CARES Community Coalition, in collaboration with area treatment and recovery organizations , is hosting its 6th Annual International Overdose Awareness Day Candlelight event on August 31st at 7:00PM at the Sherman Green in downtown Fairfield, CT. The event will be an opportunity to remember those lost to a drug overdose, as well as to recognize those who continue to be challenged by their substance use disorder. Recovery is possible. Resources will be available and people are invited to share their experience or remember a loved one. The event will conclude with closing remarks by Reverend Sara Smith, UCC.
